Transfer A Scout From Another Unit/Council
Scouts who are in another Unit/Council can be transferred from one Unit to another but the Admin for the receiving Unit must do this. They can transfer the Scout in using the Transfer Tool. If they do use the Transfer Tool, the Council must still process the transfer on their end as well. It does not automatically transfer the Scout in ScoutNet or Akela.
If a Scout is coming from another Council, the receiving Unit can process the transfer before the Council has processed the transfer on their end. If it is done correctly, it should update the existing Scoutbook account with the new BSA number instead of creating a new, empty account.
The Admin does this by clicking My Dashboard > Administration > Select the Unit > Unit Roster > Transfer Scout (under the Scout roster on the right) > Enter the Scout’s information > Transfer.
Add it manually or to have the Council update his advancements on their end and then they should sync into Scoutbook automatically.
